Morph, a wireless travel mouse by Tianrui Xie, is the ultimate definition of the user-centered design approach, made from biodegradable veg-tanned leather.

Morph is a wireless travel mouse that blends comfort by leveraging the character of a piece of biodegradable veg-tanned leather. It’s a brilliant exploration of forging personal ties between people and objects.
This material, which has been skillful, is flexible and sturdy enough to handle a mouse’s daily use.
“Instead of using a large piece of ABS plastic as other mice do, it uses veg-tanned leather to reduce the quantity of plastic used,” explains Xie.

People no longer need to buy several mice to fulfill different functions, thanks to the ability to substitute categories of a portable and an ergonomic workspace office mouse using smart technology. This reduces plastic waste even more.
When built, this conceptual interactive object is supportive and comfy. It’s tiny and maybe stuffed into a purse or linked to a keychain via the rear-side loop when laid flat.
Everyone can be accommodated seamlessly — supply your measurements by scanning your palm with a camera, and a personalized laser-cut shape fitted to the unique user can be created using generative design software like Grasshopper.

“I’d love to label Morph as ‘fashion tech,’ but the world’s changing so quickly that distinctions are blurring,” he adds.
Given its design and finishes, this simplistic product feels smooth/gentle to the touch and the inspiration is fashion leather bags.
The brushed aluminum magnetic snap provides a strong aesthetic focus as well as a secure connection between two straps.
“Its laser-cut pattern considerably minimizes injection molding production costs and makes individual customization more practicable,” explains Xie.
