A showroom building that evokes the Chinese Red Mountains with a dazzling orange roof

Shanghai-based architecture firm Wutopia Lab has built a showroom, inspired by China’s Red Mountains.

Dazzling orange peaks on the roof of a building in Ma’an Island, Zhongshan, Guangdong, China.

Design features

The design area is 1,800 square meters, and it is named Hovering Kan-Too Great Bay Area Center Showroom.

It is designed as a floating translucent white volume, featuring dazzling orange variegated peaks,

inspired by the Chinese Red Mountains.

Designed specifically for the property Vanke,

Wutopia Lab envisioned the project as a door to Vanke-Shum Yip’s future, which was completed and opened in July 2022.

It is located on the west bank of the Pearl River Delta, the western gate of Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge,

and is in the coastal foreshore area of the Great Bay Area.

Standing on the rooftop on a sunny day, one can see the amazing group of buildings across

from the sea in Qianhai.

The insistence of the real estate developer

The showroom taking on the role of selling buildings is the only insistence on architecture,

held by real estate developers with endeavors in an increasingly competitive market.

The past few decades have witnessed a thriving and highly competitive real estate market,

which has made Chinese people’s housing increasingly homogeneous from blueprint to façade.

However, the showroom, which represents the corporate image and can also improve the customer experience,

is gaining more and more attention.

As for the function, the showroom assumed the sole role of selling buildings at the beginning,

but at present, it has multiple functions.

Any lifestyle offering while selling the buildings at an early stage,

conversion to a community center or commercial center is available to residents at a later date.

The showrooms, which serve as a sales exhibition center, have been similar in design for a long time.

With social media booming and becoming an important visual communication tool,

real estate developers have realized that galleries can be an important visual medium.

In order to drive the impact and sales of their real estate,

this requires an innovative and unique showroom design.

BDO

Information about the original location of the new city has been erased due to the Seven Accesses and One Leveling project. .

Indeed, after removing the architecturally limited variables,

the overall evolving and fluid designs of the exhibition area.

A little similar to the new cities in China, this is a public city.

BDO ID

The reason I chose BDO is to inspire the adventurous spirit of the clients,

most of the new cities are just add-ons developed as a result of the influx of jobs from the city center.
