Construction work on the Dallah Al-Areed Hospital project is witnessing a remarkable acceleration, as part of efforts to enhance the health infrastructure in northern Riyadh.

The project is located at the intersection of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq and Prince Saud bin Jalawi roads in Al-Areed district, on an area of 45 thousand square meters, with a capacity of up to 250 beds.

Strategic location and large area

The project enjoys a strategic location that is easily accessible from various neighborhoods in northern Riyadh, making it a point of attraction for health services in the region.

The total area of the project is 45 thousand square meters, which reflects the significant expansion in the medical services that the hospital will provide.

With a capacity of up to 250 beds

The hospital will include 250 beds, including intensive care, emergency and operations departments, making it one of the largest hospitals in the region.

The hospital is expected to receive thousands of patients annually, while providing specialized medical services in areas such as surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics and gynecology.

Accelerating construction work

According to the latest reports issued by the implementing agencies, more than 60% of the project’s construction work has been completed, with the project expected to be fully completed by the end of 2024.

Efforts are currently focused on completing the concrete structure of the main building, in addition to electrical and mechanical extension works.

The project’s impact on health services

The Dallah Al-Areed Hospital project is expected to contribute to relieving pressure on other hospitals in northern Riyadh, as the region is witnessing rapid population growth.

According to statistics from the General Authority for Statistics, the population of Riyadh reached more than 8 million people in 2023, with this number expected to increase by 2.5% annually.

Funding sources and partners

The project is being financed by Dallah Health Group, one of the most prominent medical groups in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Local and international construction companies with extensive experience in implementing major health projects have been contracted, including Al-Saif Contracting Company, which is supervising the construction aspects of the project.

Vision 2030 and strengthening the health sector

This project is in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which seeks to improve the quality of health services and increase the number of beds available in hospitals.

According to the Ministry of Health, more than 20,000 beds have been added to public and private hospitals over the past five years, with plans to increase this number by 30% by 2030.

The next phase of the project includes installing advanced medical equipment and equipping internal departments, in addition to training medical and technical staff. The hospital is expected to begin receiving patients during the first half of 2025.
