This small, close-knit studio is looking for a Part 2 or recently (within 5 years) qualified Part 3 to join their friendly team.

Though the bulk of their work is in the private residential market, they’ve recently won a hotel project & also take on commercial and sport/leisure work, so this would be an excellent opportunity for someone who’s only worked in private resi to expand their portfolio into other sectors (without getting into the chicken-and-egg “we’ll only hire you to do X if you’ve already done X!”)

One of the advantages of a smaller studio over a medium or large firm is that you will typically take on much more responsibility faster, growing & developing your skill-set at an accelerated rate. They also work across all RIBA stages, so if you only have a small amount of front-end or back-end experience. They firmly believe in mentoring & developing staff, and you’ll be working closely with a senior architect to take your experience profile to the next level.

This studio works in AutoCAD, SketchUp & Adobe creative suite, so proficiency in these is essential.

For Part 2 candidates, they will also support your Part 3 progression with funding & appropriate case study/PEDR (subject to contractual tenure of at least 1.5 years)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A good understanding of UK planning & building regs
  • AutoCAD, SketchUp & Adobe suite
  • Experience with private residential design
  • Creativity, ambition & desire to progress professionally

Due to the mentorship & development nature of this role it is fully office based so that new joiners can receive maximum support. Therefore being within commuting distance of South West London is essential.
