Nigerian startup AllSpace is tackling the global refugee crisis with modular, eco-friendly shelters made from recycled materials like aluminium, tarpaulin, and 3D-printed plastic. Recognized by the Swarovski Foundation’s Creatives for Our Future and The World Around’s Young Climate Prize, AllSpace’s designs provide dignified, cost-effective housing that can be assembled in just four hours.
Design Inspired by Traditional African Architecture:-
Founder Blossom Eromsele drew inspiration from Nigerian vernacular architecture, incorporating cross-ventilation, hexagonal shapes, and natural materials to create a sense of familiarity for displaced communities.

Global Recognition for Sustainable Innovation:-
AllSpace was selected for the Swarovski Foundation’s Creatives for Our Future program, supported by the UN Office for Partnerships, alongside other groundbreaking projects:
- India: 3D-printed “biocladding” to grow moss/algae, reducing urban heat.
- UK: Plant-based dyes from polluted areas.
- Indonesia: Wearable tech translating music into vibrations for the deaf.
- Egypt: Textiles made from ocean waste.
- USA: Upcycled graphics cards to combat e-waste.
The Future of Humanitarian Design:-
AllSpace’s work proves that sustainability and cultural empathy can coexist in crisis response. By turning recycled materials into dignified shelters, Eromsele’s team offers a blueprint for ethical, scalable solutions in an era of climate displacement.
