Arquiteturas Film Festival

‘Slow Down!’, the theme for the 9th edition of the Arquiteturas Film Festival, brings the festival to Porto and offers an international platform for discussing and disseminating architectural production through films, exhibitions, and debates.

This year’s edition reflects on the idea of ‘slowing down, including the demolition, reduction, reuse, and contraction of architecture. It is interested in seeing, hearing about, and debating socially and environmentally just spatial practices based on a reciprocal relationship between human activity and the natural world.

Organized by INSTITUTO and directed by architect Paulo Moreira, the festival will take place over five days and will be divided into four main sections: Official Programme, Guest Institution Programme, Experimental Programme, and Competition Programme.

Each section is linked to iconic venues in the city: Cinema Passos Manuel, the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Porto (FAUP), Fundação Instituto Marques da Silva (FIMS), INSTITUTO, and Casa Comum.

Head to their website to learn more about the entire program.
