ArXellence 3 is an open, one-stage international competition inviting architects and transdisciplinary teams to develop ideas that preserve historical memory and promote sustainable development on Gyaros, a Cycladic island rich in ecological significance.

The Island of Gyaros

Located in the northern Cyclades, Gyaros is an unpopulated island known for its long and complex history. Today, it plays a vital ecological role, particularly as home to the largest population of monk seals in the Mediterranean.

Competition Details and Submission Deadline

Participants are encouraged to submit their projects by April 14, 2025. The competition jury will award three grand prizes for the best transdisciplinary approaches, with prizes as follows:
1st Prize: €40,000
2nd Prize: €20,000
3rd Prize: €10,000

Additionally, six honorable mentions will be recognized.
