Heritage-Driven Restoration

Universal Design Studio began by uncovering four original cast-iron columns and restoring Regency-era balustrades. These elements framed the design intent, anchoring the intervention in historical authenticity. The 120 m² layout is structured across three levels, linked visually by cathedral glass screens and patterned oak parquet flooring. Restoration is balanced with innovation—bringing forward hidden architectural details while avoiding pastiche.

  • Burl Wood: Central furniture pieces including display tables and benches are carved from rich burl wood, offering warm tones and organic grain that resonate with Cairo roots.
