Build a cabin like a large gazebo inside the pine forest in Madrid,
Spanish architecture studio delaVegaCanolasso has built a rectangular hut inside a pine forest in Madrid, Spain.
Named Fresnos, the 142 sqm house was created as part of the Tini Home chain run by the Tini brand,
which develops small mobile homes, and uses the benefits of a sloping terrain.
For this reason, the architects assessed the existing topography as an environment that must be respected and enhanced,
while preserving the identity and character of the site.
The project is located on a fairly sloping land, covered with pine and oak trees and covered with a green blanket typical of spring.
It’s great if the site suggests from the very beginning what place the house should occupy.
The evacuation of light among the pines also drew its dimensions,
with the desire to preserve all the trees and alter the terrain as little as possible.
For this reason, the structure starts from the natural level of the ground,
leaning against the wall from which a cable-suspension cantilever is born.
Design features
From there you can enjoy the views of the pine forest. The house is designed as natural,
simple and pleasant as possible.
while being closed to the street and open to the landscape, including the environment.
The cabin serves as a shelter that can also act as a “big porch” where users can be protected and covered in the middle of nature.
The studio wanted to make the building touch the ground as little as possible through an industrial system.
On the other hand, at the same time, the architects wanted to incorporate the grace and nuances of traditional work.
According to the architects, the mixed system made a lot of sense.
The built-in units produced by the tini team are therefore entirely made in the workshop with hand-brick walls painted white.
The cantilever, which does not touch the ground with the mud that comes out of it,
aims to cover it with vines and jasmine.
Ultimately, it forms a contrast between the current and the timeless piece,
providing a rich structure that only gets better with age.
When you’re using an industrial system, mod is important, and this house is mod.
Each room with its bathroom is a tini®, and the study is in another completely independent room.
It is necessary to separate the space in which one works,
which also gives us the opportunity to walk in the garden in the morning,
when the leaves are green and lush.
