The Buildner Unbuilt Award 2025 is the launch of an annual competition that celebrates architectural excellence through unbuilt works. Organized by Buildner, a pioneer in global architecture competitions, this award recognizes visionary and innovative contemporary architecture from across the world. Having gained a reputation as a distinguished platform within the architecture field, Buildner attracts millions of visitors, including professionals and architecture enthusiasts.

With more than a decade of experience, Buildner has organized over 150 architecture competitions, engaging nearly 400 respected architects and academic professionals as jury members, and connecting with students from around 1,400 architecture schools and universities worldwide.

The Buildner Unbuilt Award 2025 presents a unique platform for architects and designers to showcase unbuilt projects that demonstrate creativity and potential. The competition is open to projects in all stages, whether published or unpublished, fully designed, or in conceptual phases. This year, the Buildner Unbuilt Award offers three categories—small, medium, and large-scale projects—to ensure that each visionary entry is recognized and celebrated. Participants are encouraged to select the category that best aligns with their project’s scope, allowing a broad spectrum of ideas to be showcased.

Competition Schedule

  • Early Bird Registration: October 31 – March 6
  • Advance Registration: March 7 – September 11
  • Last Minute Registration: September 12 – October 30

Final Registration Deadline: October 30, 2025
Submission Deadline: November 20, 2025, 23:59 (London Time)
Winners Announced: December 17, 2025
