As students dedicated to exploring the relationship between people and the places they inhabit, we were profoundly impacted by the shift to staying at home which the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated. This shift has forced us to contemplate now more than ever, how we use the spaces we call home, and how we adapt and adapt to, these spaces under unique circumstances.

“Interiors of Isolation” is a book that will feature creative work by designers contemplating the spaces they were confined in during the pandemic. We are currently accepting work to be featured on our website.

Submission details

Through two drawings & a short blurb, we want to know: • How has the pandemic affected your working/living environment? • Where/how do you spend most of your time within your home? • Have you come up with creative solutions to adjust your space to your needs? • How do you think about your space now, compared to pre-quarantine?

Include: 1 PLAN of your space/room, 1 additional DRAWING (i.e. perspective), 2-3 sentence explanation, your name, city & country, school & year (if applicable).

Send high-quality JPEG files (under 10MB each). Submissions with only one of the suggested drawings will also be considered to interiorsofisolation@gmail.com. Follow @interiorsofisolation on Instagram and Twitter for more!
