Trojena, NEOM | May 2025
High in the mountains of Trojena, the early structure of Trojena Lake Bridge is beginning to take shape. It is forming over the site of the artificial lake. Steel reinforcement bars now rise prominently above the ground. Construction crews work actively at various levels, which is a clear sign that the project is entering a significant new phase.

A Construction Scene in Motion

Recent images from the site reveal a busy scene: scaffolding stacked high, and workers in safety gear standing across platforms. Columns of steel rebar are growing steadily skyward in preparation for the next stage of concrete work. While the final form of Trojena Lake Bridge is not yet visible, the momentum on-site suggests it will be a key component of Trojena’s infrastructure.

Trojena Lake Bridge will connect key zones across the Trojena development—one of NEOM’s flagship destinations that prioritises tourism and sustainability. Surrounded by striking mountain terrain, the region embraces an ambitious architectural vision. It continues to transform into a vibrant hub including luxury resorts, outdoor sports venues, and a central artificial lake. This lake is designed to host both winter and water-based activities.

A Project Shaping Up Among the Mountains

Located some 2,600 metres above sea level, Trojena is witnessing rapid and large-scale development. Although no official details have yet been released about the Trojena Lake Bridge’s final design or the engineering firm behind it, the visible progress on-site confirms that a key structural milestone is well underway.

Far from being just another piece of infrastructure, Trojena Lake Bridge is part of a broader vision. This vision creates seamless mobility across Trojena while respecting and integrating with the natural landscape. It reflects an approach that blends innovation with environmental sensitivity.

ArchUp continues to follow the developments of this project. This effort is part of its endeavour to document the architectural journey of key projects in the Kingdom.
