In the heart of Makkah, just steps away from the Grand Mosque, construction continues at full speed on the Wajhat Makkahdevelopment one of the city’s most ambitious projects aimed at reshaping its urban fabric and enhancing services for pilgrims and residents alike.

Towers Rising Across the Skyline

Over the past few days, the project has entered a new phase, as its main towers begin to rise visibly above ground. The bustling activity on-site reflects the project’s transition into vertical construction — a critical step that signals significant progress in the structural framework.

A Strategic Corridor Reshaping the City’s Flow

Stretching along King Abdulaziz Road, one of Makkah’s most vital arteries, the project is set to transform the route into a fully integrated urban corridor. It will feature a mix of hotels, retail spaces, pedestrian pathways, and public amenities, serving as a seamless link between Makkah’s entry points and the Grand Mosque.

The development, led by Umm Al Qura for Development and Construction, seeks to offer a modern urban experience while respecting the city’s spiritual and historical character.

A Human-Centered Design for Visitors and Residents

The masterplan prioritizes walkability, direct connectivity to public transport, and thoughtful spatial distribution of buildings and services. The project isn’t just about serving the influx of pilgrims it’s also a long-term investment in enhancing daily life for Makkah’s residents.
