Biography
DL-Arch is an architecture and design studio founded in 2021 by Simone Dell’Ariccia and Yael Leibovitch. The studio emerged from a deep personal and professional connection, shaped by years of collaboration and shared vision.
Simone, born in 1993, holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and Architecture from La Sapienza University in Rome. After completing his studies, he moved to Tel Aviv, where he and Yael first met.
Yael, born in 1996, completed her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture at the Technion in Haifa and later pursued a Master’s in Architecture and Urban Design at Politecnico di Milano.
Their partnership took a formal shape with the founding of DL-Arch in 2021. Since then, they’ve worked together seamlessly, merging different knowledge bases, cultural backgrounds, and creative perspectives. After getting married in 2024, they decided to continue developing their studio from Milan, currently engaged in projects across Italy and Israel.
SaloneSatellite – Milano Design Week 2025

SaloneSatellite is a dynamic platform where emerging design ideas come to life—a space for new products, experimentation, and real-time dialogue. DL-Arch is proud to participate in this year’s edition, showcasing three pieces that explore themes of balance, levitation, and discovery.
With a strong foundation in custom furniture design—often integrated into architectural projects or pursued as a personal creative outlet—DL-Arch viewed SaloneSatellite as an opportunity to evolve their work toward commercial design. They submitted several designs that had been developed over the years, and were selected to exhibit.
Approach
DL-Arch follows a philosophy they call “Reasoned Architecture”—a design approach driven by purpose, anchored in contextual understanding, deep thought, and environmental sensitivity.
Every design decision, whether major or minute, must arise from a genuine need—never arbitrary or merely decorative. Even when a design begins with aesthetic intuition, it is followed by a search for its underlying logic and function.
This method leads to precision: designs that not only serve users but also engage with the surrounding space in a meaningful way. At SaloneSatellite, DL-Arch presents a dining table, a coffee table, and a chair—each grounded in the concept of balance and intended to spark curiosity and interaction beyond mere functionality.
Piramide – Dining Table
The Piramide table is composed of two solid oak pyramids—one upright and one inverted—each enclosed within a transparent glass vessel. These geometric elements support a thick oak tabletop that appears to float above, creating visual tension between the pyramid’s sharp point and the weight of the surface.
The table is available in multiple sizes and configurations, all derived from the same pyramid principle. Materials and finishes can be customized to suit each client’s needs.

X-gon – Coffee Table
X-gon is a hexagonal coffee table featuring a glass top and faceted sides crafted from two contrasting materials. Its geometry creates a dynamic visual effect that changes depending on the viewer’s angle. This is a table meant to be experienced in motion—encouraging people to walk around and discover new perspectives from every step.

Skizza – Chair
Skizza is both a chair and a sculptural piece. When not in use, it transforms into an autonomous object, challenging the typical form and function of seating.
The concept stems from movement and balance and has evolved since the very beginning of the duo’s collaboration—it was the first piece they designed together, just three weeks after meeting. Born from a shared habit of leaning forward while sketching, the chair reflects their creative chemistry.
This year, with the collaboration of engineer Federico Amarena and the use of advanced software for balance analysis, the chair has been realized as a fully engineered product.

Collaboration with Federico Amarena
Federico Amarena, born in 1994, studied with Simone at La Sapienza University in Rome, where he earned his degree in Civil Engineering and Architecture. He has since focused on engineering, applying technical precision to design.
Federico has worked closely with DL-Arch over the past three years on various public and private projects, and now also contributes to their Italian-based work with international clients. At SaloneSatellite, he joins as both design collaborator and the engineering mind behind each piece.
For the SaloneSatellite Awards, the team presented an updated version of Skizza. In this refined version, the internal cylinder’s weight has been carefully calibrated to keep the chair upright when not in use—adding an elegant detail that enhances its intrigue.
