Innovative Projects from Dubai Design Week

An awe-inspiring experience, the 2023 Dubai Design Week was at the Dubai Design District (d3) between 7-12 November, under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) and a member of the Dubai Council. With rigorous support from Dubai Culture and strategic partnership with d3 (member of TECOM Group PJSC), the platform showcased over 500 creative practitioners discussing topics like sustainability, technology, and design-led social impact solutions.

Festivities included large-scale outdoor installations, commissioned projects, exhibitions, panel discussions, talks, workshops, and more. Additionally, Downtown Design, Dubai Design Week’s anchor event and leading fair for contemporary and high-quality design, celebrated its 10th edition. As per Natasha Carella, Programming Director Dubai Design Week, “this year, we have channeled our focus on sustainability. Developing the program in association with d3 that the public can engage with to create meaningful conversations about sustainability. Our efforts to create awareness of how different practices can pursue sustainability, a future that is essential for the upcoming generations of the design industry”. Dubai Design Week 2023 proved to be the ultimate destination for imaginative ideas and fresh perspectives.
