Limited Edition
Eco-friendly Tower Blocks

Tower Blocks made of recycled plastic and wood waste

Due to the persistent spread of the COVID virus, the plastic war puts the brakes on again as demand for safe and sanitary protective equipment increases and because of this, environmental pollution caused by discarded plastic is getting worse day by day around the world. Since before the corona virus, global annual plastic production has already reached 359 million tons, 80% of which have been landfilled or incinerated and 10% have been unmanaged and dumped into the sea. And only 36 million tons which is 10% of them were collected and incorporated into the recycling cycle.

Realizing the seriousness of these problems, Intops, as a Korean global manufacturer that mass-produces not only plastic but also various materials, started a ‘revive project' to create a new product using discarded materials through sustainable material research by feeling deeply about the responsibilities concerning environmental issues. We have established a virtuous cycle system by screening and recycling defective products generated at production plant and also, developed eco-friendly composite materials using discarded plastic, wood, and leather from the production plant.

Eco-friendly tower blocks is the first revive project product which are made with the composite material that consist of about 540g of discarded plastic and 143g of discarded wood. One set of tower blocks has the effect of recycling 44 disposable coffee cups or 135 disposable spoons that are discarded and most of all, it can reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) by about 81% compared to making Jenga with regular plastic material. Furthermore, we added the formative and aesthetic beauty of the product by applying a leaf pattern based on natural leaves to the block design. Not only the product but also the package used eco-friendly paper made from 100% sugar cane residue along with soybean oil ink by considering the environment.

Intops plans to introduce products that are beneficial to the world by continuously developing eco-friendly composite materials. We truly hope to introduce various products that protect the environment to the world by starting with tower blocks created from eco-friendly materials through the ‘revive project’.
