The U-Mask Bio Layer kills harmful bacteria for up to 200 hours

Home » News » The U-Mask Bio Layer kills harmful bacteria for up to 200 hours

Model 2 U-Mask is the first biotech mask that not only blocks but also kills air contaminants on the inside.

U-Mask reduces cross-infection and lower exposure to airborne diseases and toxins for both the wearer and those around them.

What is the purpose of the U-Mask? To provide unrivaled protection against pollution and other hazardous particles in the air

According to the company, U-Mask 2 has a revolutionary Bio-LayerTM composition with unique components that kills germs in their tracks.

U-Earth is the brain behind U-Mask

U-Earth is a biotech firm that specializes in air purification technology, founded in 2018 by Beta Maggio. Its objective, with offices in London and Milan, is to develop breakthrough solutions that protect humans from dangerous substances to create a world free of air pollution.

U-Earth focuses on developing technology to help with global initiatives seeking to track the purity of air throughout the planet. A variety of air purifiers are also available, as well as a cloud-based program that may provide real-time data on toxins in varied locations.

Moreover, U-Maks isn’t the only revolutionary face mask on the market; don’t miss Blue Sky Labs’ ATMOBLUE breathing experience.

Recycled ocean plastic and biotech-powered materials are among the materials and techniques used

The Model 2 from U-Mask has a lycra cover manufactured from Econyl, a recycled ocean plastic. This hides four more levels of defense, the most inventive of which is the Bio Layer.

This layer has a specially created self-sanitizing technology that is both natural and non-toxic to humans and is said to last for 200 hours. It sits next to a nanofiltration layer, which is sandwiched between two nonwoven textiles.

Style and aesthetics

The U-Mask may appear subdued on the exterior, given the ‘bio-power’ of its underlying construction, but how boastful can the creators of a face mask be? The U-Mask is a sleek, simple design that appears to be from a single piece of cloth. They made it of one continuous part with loops on both sides that fasten around the ears.

Additionally, nine colorways are available to lend a little personality, including black and other neutral tones, orange, purple, red, and various blues.

The Biological Layer

U-Earth has discovered a polymeric mixture comprising a natural active ingredient capable of preventing the growth of germs and microorganisms in collaboration with an Italian research team. This polymeric mixture has been adhered to a layer of filter fabric, giving the U-Mask Model 2 remarkable features that significantly reduce the danger of contracting multidrug-resistant germs and spreading infections between humans.

Furthermore, this bio-layer offers performance comparable to an FFP2/FFP3, which is superior to regular N95 masks in simpler, perhaps more accessible terms.

Design reminiscence – Mask wearing and making in the new millennium

COVID-19’s spread and increased demand for face masks have had a massive impact on the worldwide market for face masks. Something that was once solely popular in high-pollution areas has now become commonplace worldwide.

As a result, we’ve seen a variety of industrial takes on what has become an indispensable piece of equipment. Masks have become a platform for promoting commentary on modern culture and another canvas for corporations to splay their emblems, from fashion trends to political comments. This comes in the form of two motor racing behemoths, Ferrari and McLaren; both of whom have collaborated with U-Mask to manufacture branded versions of their Mode 2 masks.
