Hotel Indigo Set to Open in South Jeddah as Part of the New Bab Jeddah Development
Jeddah – June 2, 2025
Ashad Real Estate Development Company, in partnership with IHG Hotels & Resorts, has announced the launch of a new hotel project in South Jeddah: Hotel Indigo.
The upcoming hotel will feature 700 rooms, making it one of the largest hospitality additions to the area. IHG is set to manage and operate the Indigo Hotel Jeddah facility upon completion.
A Hotel Within a Mixed-Use Urban Vision
The new Hotel Indigo will be located at the heart of Bab Jeddah, a comprehensive urban development that blends residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces into a unified city-like environment. The Indigo Hotel Jeddah sits within a thoughtfully master-planned district, featuring high-rise buildings with a variety of modern architectural styles. Glass façades, geometric patterns, and landscaped courtyards dominate. Carefully designed road networks paint a picture of a well-balanced urban community that prioritises livability and connectivity.
Hotel Indigo: A Contemporary Landmark with a Defined Architectural Identity
Architectural renderings of the hotel depict a bold, vertical structure designed with uniform façades and expansive windows. The building features metal and glass elements, emphasising a sleek, modern look aligned with Hotel Indigo’s global identity. Indigo Hotel Jeddah merges luxury with local character. Neutral tones and silver highlights enhance the sense of elegance. Meanwhile, ground-level areas are designed to accommodate both pedestrian access and vehicle drop-offs.
A Strategic Partnership Reflecting Jeddah’s Urban Evolution
The decision to entrust IHG with the hotel’s operations reflects growing confidence in global hospitality brands within the Saudi real estate market. The Indigo Hotel Jeddah project also highlights Jeddah’s evolving urban landscape. It shows the increasing push towards high-end, mixed-use developments.
ArchUp continues to follow this project closely. This is part of its ongoing efforts to document the architectural trajectory of major developments across the Kingdom.
