Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab: A Coastal Stay in Dubai
The project, Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, offers a place to stay on the shores of Dubai with a clear view of the sea. The design takes its idea from yachts, showing smooth curves that follow the water’s movement. The project follows a direct layout that helps guests move easily from one area to another.
Exterior Design
The building’s shape shows curves that remind one of the water’s flow. The design uses useful features that lower energy use, such as balconies that create shade. The structure includes a 36-meter-wide metal arch that guides pathways to open spaces like bars and restaurants.
Interior Design
Each room has its own balcony with an area of at least 22 square meters to add extra living space. The rooms and serviced apartments are arranged in a clear way to meet the guests’ needs. The serviced apartments come with extra features such as swimming pools, fitness areas, and health facilities. These features help guests use all the services without any extra complexity.
Sustainability and Environment
The project applies simple methods to reduce its impact on the environment. The balconies help shade the building and reduce energy consumption by up to 40%. A system recycles water for use in watering the green areas. The project also plants many palm trees and shrubs to keep a connection with nature.
Facilities and Services
The resort has 386 rooms and 82 serviced apartments. There are several restaurants that change their menus at different times of the day. The project also includes a health center with an indoor pool, a gym area reserved for women, and other treatment facilities. The simple design helps deliver all services and information in a straightforward way.
Location and Surroundings
The project sits between two other buildings that are well known along Dubai’s shoreline. Its design connects with the nearby buildings through clear and simple lines. The project is part of a series of developments along the coast. The design uses simple shapes that follow the continuous look of the area.
