The Midjourney X Climate Crisis: AI for Sustainable Ideas design challenge, hosted by NORDFY and MVRDV, invites participants to conceptualize innovative strategies for positive sustainable impact. This competition is inspired by the groundbreaking work of Cosimo Scotucci, Senior Project Leader at MVRDV, and focuses on merging design, technology, and sustainability to tackle environmental challenges.

Assignment

During an intensive 8-hour workshop, participants will develop a design concept that leverages AI to enhance creativity and practicality. The challenge encourages the exploration of various sustainability areas, including architectural concepts, product designs, and systems for sustainable living. Participants will use AI tools to generate innovative ideas, analyze potential impacts, and refine their strategies. This hands-on approach aims to push the boundaries of current sustainable design thinking.

Jury

The panel of judges includes prominent figures such as Cosimo Scotucci from MVRDV, Riccardo Piazzai and Tiago Pereira from NORDFY, Ismail Seleit from Foster & Partners, Matteo Pavanello from BIG, and Marcin Husarz from Competitions.archi.

Prize Award

The winner of the Midjourney X Climate Crisis challenge will enjoy several benefits, including a 30% discount on future NORDFY workshops, a year of free access to the NORDFY Networking Membership plan with all Monthly Community Meetings, a copy of the Architecture Competitions Yearbook 2023, and a unique internship opportunity with one of our partners.
