The Mohammed bin Salman Non-Profit City, known as “Misk City,” is located in the Arqa district of Riyadh. Covering an area of 3.4 square kilometers, it is the world’s first non-profit city, according to a 2021 announcement by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The city aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurship and empower Saudi youth through a sustainable urban environment. Located along Wadi Hanifa, 44% of its area is dedicated to green spaces, reflecting its commitment to environmental sustainability and improving quality of life.
Integrated Facilities to Stimulate Creativity
The city includes various facilities, including the Misk Academy, which accommodates 1,000 students from kindergarten to grade 12, and colleges specializing in technology and innovation.
It also includes a conference center with a capacity of 1,500 visitors, an interactive science museum, and an innovation center focused on artificial intelligence and Internet of Things technologies.
The Arts and Culinary Institute provides talent development spaces, along with theaters and a gaming area.
These facilities are designed to support young people in developing their leadership and creative skills.
Sustainable Residential and Commercial Destinations
Misk City offers residential complexes comprising 500 villas and townhouses, and 6,000 apartments of varying sizes, with a capacity of up to 19,500 people.
It also includes the luxury Hotel Indigo and advanced office buildings in the Mishraq area, the second largest district in the city.
Designed to high sustainability standards, these buildings overlook Wadi Hanifa and include retail spaces and 24-hour dining options. These destinations make the city a vibrant hub for business and entertainment.
Supporting Entrepreneurship and Youth
The city is an extension of the vision of the Misk Foundation, founded by the Crown Prince, to empower young people.
It offers advanced training programs in technology and entrepreneurship, and supports entrepreneurs through business incubators and partnerships with global investors.
