Motion. A celebration of the aesthetic side of the vehicle, Autos, Art, Architecture connects it to the parallel worlds of painting, sculpture, architecture, photography, and film. The show questions the divisions between these fields’ silos and looks at the connections between them on a visual and cultural level.

The exhibition explores the connections between technology and art, illuminating. For instance, how the usage of the wind tunnel shaped the automobile’s aerodynamics to move quicker while consuming less energy. The Futurist movement and other artists of the time emulated this streamlined revolution in their works. The industrial design of everything, from automobiles to home appliances, likewise reflected it.

Moreover, we display nearly 40 vehicles in the exhibition. The galleries, take center stage and are flanked by important pieces of art and architecture. Many of these are being made available to a wider audience for the first time after spending their whole lives in private collections and governmental institutions. The automobile, unlike any other single innovation, drastically changed both the urban and rural landscapes of our globe. You can view this show as a requiem for the latter days of combustion. Because we are on the cusp of a new electric power revolution.
