NY Product Design Awards 2025

The NY Product Design Awards was launched to honor the efforts of talented product designers, design teams, and manufacturers from all over the world, whose designs have made daily living that much better with their practical and ingenious creations. The awards aim to celebrate excellence in various aspects of design, recognizing those whose works improve daily life through their functionality and aesthetic appeal.

Categories

The NY Product Design Awards categories include: Automotive & Transport, Conceptual, Digital, Electronic Devices & Accessories, Fashion & Lifestyle, Furniture, Home Interior, Interface & User Experience, Lighting, and more.

Eligibility

The awards are open to:

• Advertising Agencies, Art Directors, Brand / Business Owners, Car Designers, Creative Boutiques, Design Firms, Designers, Engineers, Entrepreneurs, Fashion Designers, Freelancers, Furniture Designers, Graphic Designers, In-house Marketing, Institutions, Manufacturers, Product Designers, PR firms, Students, Teachers, and anyone aged 18 and above with a great new product design.

Submission Requirements

• Entries must be produced within the last five (5) calendar years up through the final deadline.
• Entries must be submitted exactly as published or implemented and may not be modified for the competition.
• The awards reserve the right to re-categorize incorrectly classified entries.
• Judges reserve the right to withhold an award in a category if submissions do not meet expectations.

Entry Brief

A synopsis of about 350 words is recommended. This should describe your project, elaborating on the creativity and originality of the idea.

Image Submission

Images must be in JPEG or JPG format, under 4MB, with a resolution of 300dpi and 1200px width.

2025 Entry Deadline & Fees

• Early Bird: Nov 8 – Dec 11, 2024 ($209)
• Regular: Dec 12, 2024 – Jan 20, 2025 ($219)
• Final: Jan 21 – Feb 19, 2025 ($239)
• Final Extension: Feb 20 – Mar 21, 2025 ($249)
• Last Minute: Mar 22 – Apr 23, 2025 ($259)

Winning Levels

• Product Design of the Year
• Product Designer of the Year
• Gold: Average score between 85 – 100
• Silver: Average score between 60 – 84

Judging Criteria

Judging is blind. Judges score on a scale of 1-100 based on:

• Form
• Creativity & Innovation
• Finishing & Functionality
• Impact

Results Announcement

Winners will be announced on May 16, 2025. Winners will be featured on the official page.

Prizes

Winners will receive a complimentary limited-edition trophy, certificate, and featured recognition on the website. Gold and Silver winners may also purchase additional statuettes and certificates.
