Promote circular design in offices and workplaces,
Architects and interior designers have often claimed that well-designed office spaces,
It will translate into greater productivity, creativity and worker satisfaction – but the impact is greater than most people imagine.
Recent studies indicate that good design positively impacts company culture,
enhances a sense of community and creates a healthy, happy and stimulating environment.
In fact, it directly impacts talent recruitment and retention:
“Workplace design significantly increases employer attractiveness to potential candidates.”
Appropriate lighting, flexible design, and lively features are all important factors to consider during the planning phase.
But to fully realize user comfort and well-being, it must be combined with excellent furniture design.
After all, incorporating quality, comfortable pieces is a simple way to boost mood and improve functionality and aesthetics when creating or remodeling a workspace.
So, what makes good office furniture?
A few keywords immediately come to mind: comfort, appearance, versatility, flexibility, resistance, durability, etc.
sustainable office furniture
Of course, we cannot overlook sustainability.
Although this concept may have started as a buzzword, today it guides – or rather should guide – everything we do;
The planet is warming at unprecedented rates and no industry can remain indifferent.
Each year, 8.5 million tons of office furniture finds its way into U.S. landfills, becoming the leading source of furniture waste.
Therefore, when searching for environmentally friendly alternatives,
designers have a responsibility to question their origins, lifespan and future uses,
As well as taking into account energy, resource consumption and carbon emissions.
Not only to achieve environmental goals, but also to promote human health (which ultimately go hand in hand).
However, it is important to keep in mind that it is not just about the furniture, but also about the manufacturer –
Just as it is not only about the end result, but also about the entire planning, manufacturing and delivery process.
Promote circular design in offices and workplaces
In this sense, office furniture manufacturers must address sustainability at every stage,
Each of their products must be certified or labeled accordingly so that designers can evaluate them properly.
For example, Andreu World meets these criteria while providing good designs that enable users to enjoy the spaces they inhabit in a smart and healthy way.
The international furniture company is committed to the highest standards of sustainability.
They are designed with a minimal carbon footprint,
adhere to the “Cradle to Cradle” (C2C) design framework and contribute to the circular economy.
