How to accept Pandemics
Forming a pod means total honesty on each family’s part to require care of every other, considering the infected and therefore the healthy within the family. “It’s almost like an algorithm of adding space and time and preventing something from encountering us.”
It is the security buffer inside homes after pandemics.
This pod design aims to realize comfort for each side , keeping the family connected, additionally to the most purpose of infection prevention.
Ensuring an appropriate setting and adequate provisions

The implementation of quarantine implies the utilization or creation of appropriate facilities during which an individual or persons
are physically separated from the community while being cared for. Appropriate quarantine arrangements include the
following measures.
• those that are in quarantine must be placed in spaciously single rooms with in-suite facilities (that is, hand hygiene
and toilet facilities).
• Suitable environmental infection controls must be used, like ensuring are adequate air ventilation, air filtration
systems, and waste-management protocols.
• Accommodation must provide an appropriate level of comfort, including – provision of food, water, and hygiene
facilities.
• Medical assistance and health monitoring must be provided when needed
• those that are in quarantine must be ready to communicate, and perhaps see relations who are outside the
quarantine facility.
• If possible, access to the web , news, and entertainment should be provided.
• Psychosocial support must be available so as to not feel alone.
• Infection prevention and control
Possible locations for this quarantine room are hotels, dormitories,
or houses.

Design Requirements

You are asked to revamp an existing bedroom set to be transformed into a quarantine pod. the size of the suite are 3mx 4.4m as detailed within the image. The suite is to possess a bedroom on the left side and an entrance/hallway with a toilet on the proper side.
The home is one floor only.
You cannot change the situation of the door and therefore the windows.
You can create additional opening between the suite and therefore the remainder of house.

Submissions:
Brief description (up to100 words) of your quarantine pod design,
3D of the suite, plan of the suite, and a minimum of one interior elevation
The 3Ds are expected to point out the suite entrance, bathroom, and
bedroom.
Your design must be an ingenious and provides infection
prevention.
Submit 2 to three of 11”x17” sheets. PDF file to be uploaded.
