Red Bull Illume Image Quest 2023

The Red Bull Illume Image Quest is officially back for its seventh edition and looking to showcase the next wave of talent, with categories to appeal to both photographers and videographers.

The Red Bull Illume is the world’s most excellent international imagery contest dedicated to adventure and action sports. It showcases the most creative and captivating images on the planet while illuminating the passion, lifestyle, and culture behind the photographers that shoot them.

Only images that capture the adventure and action sports culture and lifestyle may be submitted. Whether they take place in the air, sea, mountains, cities, or on rivers and trails, a broad range of adventure and action sports submissions are accepted.

Eight photo categories are judged by an international panel of experts and two Instagram categories for both photos and reels up to 60 seconds, are judged by the community.

A judging panel of 50 photo editors and digital experts will select all category winners and the overall winner.

• Images must have been taken after August 1, 2021.
• Images with less than 12 megapixels will be disqualified. You can submit five images per category. You may not submit the same image to more than one category.
• Basic image editing and color corrections are allowed, i.e. brightness, contrast, sharpening, mood, and white balance. If any other alternations have been made, the image must be submitted to the Creative category.

All category winners and the overall winner will receive trophies and a selection of outstanding prizes from reputable brands.

The winning images for all categories will be revealed in the winter of 2023 and will then travel the world, alongside the stories behind the shot and about the photographer.
