Research Associate

The Welsh School of Architecture is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated Grade 6 Research Associate to work alongside Principal Investigator Dr Magda Sibley on the project “HBIM Interactive Platform for Social Inclusivity in the Rehabilitation of Heritage Hammams and the Development of Creative Design Economy in Marrakech”  which is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).

The successful candidate for this position will conduct (with the project team) field work in Marrakech, develop HBIM Model for heritage public bathhouses and collaborate with various local stakeholders to establish an interactive GIS map at the Museum of Water Civilisation. Established experience in Building Information Modelling, GIS, Laser scanning and Photogrammetry are essential.

This full-time position (35 hours per week) is available immediately and is fixed term until 28 February 2023.

Salary: £34,304 – £40,927 per annum (Grade 6).  We do not anticipate this post being appointed above point 30, £34,304 per annum.
