Saudi Cup design competition
About the competition
Based on the Architecture and Design Authority’s keenness to discover and support local talents in the fields of architecture and design, the Authority launched the “Architecture and Design Competitions” initiative aimed at the fields that fall under its umbrella, so that this competition will be titled (The Saudi Cup Design Competition), which is a competition to design cups. And prizes for 2022 Saudi Arabian Horse Racing Championships, intended for designers, students and design institutions. In this competition, qualified designers for the final stage will have the opportunity to participate in a design workshop, and this workshop will enable them to make some changes and final touches on their designs, before entering the final evaluation stage.
The groups to be designed
The competition is dedicated to designing complete sets of cups and prizes for the eight rounds of the Saudi Cup 2022, where each participant will be free to participate by choosing at least one design group from eight design groups, and the participant must submit separate files for each design group he participates in. All submitted designs will be reviewed and filtered, with the top three entries selected for each design group and qualifying for the final stage. The eight groups are as follows:

The first stage: the stage of receiving the participants

Terms and Conditions
The group designs must be unique and original, and duplicate designs will not be accepted.
– The designer may submit participation in more than one design group, where the participant uploads separate files for each design group he participates in.
– The participant must be a Saudi national, or be residing in Saudi Arabia.
For design firms, it must be a registered establishment in the Kingdom, and if it is from outside it, then its owner must be Saudi.
– A single participation can be collective, provided that the name of the group, the representative of this group, and the information of its members are recorded.
– The files must not bear the name of the participant, the participating group, or the institution, in order to ensure that they are not shared with the arbitration committee, and that the arbitration is fair.
– The files must be uploaded in the required formats according to the guideline during registration on the sharing platform.
