At Dutch Design Week 2023, Tarkett and Studio RENS showcased the results of their experiments in an exhibition titled “Lino Undercover”. On display were rugs, murals, and textile applications all highlighting the bright potential for the future.

Lino Undercover: linoleum from a different perspective

For over 125 years, Tarkett has been producing Linoleum, a traditional yet entirely modern material that offers sustainability, low-maintenance, and superior resilience. To expand the boundaries and applications of this timeless material, Tarkett collaborated with renowned Dutch design partnership Studio RENS. Established for over 15 years, Studio RENS boasts a combination of color and material experimentation, and a comprehensive research focus. Also, It has helped propel diverse projects and quality labels to remarkable heights.

Moreover, For the exhibition, Lino Undercover, three original applications are revealed through a starring selection of activities. Such as stripping, slicing, dissecting, reversing, assembling, and adding colors. Although still utilizing genuine linoleum, it is a divergent form from what has been historically observed. With only its natural scent unchanged.
