The SKYHIVE 2021 Skyscraper Challenge is that the fourth annual architecture competition which searches out the newest and greatest designs for an iconic high rise structure. Participants of the SKYHIVE Challenge are tasked with creating an idea for a state-of-the-art tower that breaks from the norm.

Participants are encouraged to include new technologies and materials in their designs, also as unique aesthetics and spatial organisations. Special consideration is additionally given to designs that implement innovations in sustainable systems, also as people who look to unravel economic, social, and cultural problems through the establishment of latest architectural methods.

There is no defined competition site, therefore participants are ready to select any hypothetical site measuring 130m x 80m which may be accessed by roads on two sides. Design are often set within the city of their choice anywhere within the world, as long as the project is keep with the region’s skyline and surroundings.

The annual SKYHIVE Challenge may be a platform to look at the connection between skyscrapers and therefore the wildlife , the community, and therefore the remainder of the town as an entire . it’s important that designs show consideration for the impact on the encompassing environment, also as how the rise in inhabitants will affect the present infrastructure, pollution levels, economic division, and concrete sprawl.

As an open ideas competition, participants within the SKYHIVE2021 – The Annual Bee Breeders Skyscraper Challenge are allowed to interpret the competition brief however they choose, within the most creative way possible. The SKYHIVE Challenge may be a chance for architecture enthusiasts to potentially rewrite the definition of the modern-day skyscraper.

PRIZES

3 winning proposals, 2 special award recipients and 6 honourable mentions are going to be selected. Bee Breeders will award a complete of 6,000 € in prize to competition winners as follows:

1st Prize – 3,000 €

2nd Prize – 1,500 €

3rd Prize – 500 €

ARCHHIVE Student Award – 500 € + 50 € gift card at ARCHHIVE BOOKS (archhivebooks.com)

Bee Breeders Green Award – 500 €

+ 6 honourable mentions

Competition is hospitable all. No professional qualification is required. Design proposals are often developed individually or by teams (4 team members maximum). Correspondence with organizers must be conducted in English; All information submitted by participants must be in English.
