With its 19th Edition about to be soon, we are excited to announce that Small Firms, Great Projects is back and better than before! This program provides small business owners with a useful platform to raise their company’s profile in print and digital media. In 2024, this issue will honor local inventiveness and highlight the creative initiatives and procedures that are reshaping our dynamic San Francisco Bay Area neighborhood. Small Firms, Great Projects showcases the best improvements to the built environment, ranging from parklets and shared spaces to auxiliary dwelling units (ADUs) and adaptive reuse.

Submission Eligibility for Small Firms, Great Projects

Small firms in the San Francisco Bay Area that specialize in architecture, landscape architecture, interior architecture, and architectural lighting are encouraged to submit their work for consideration in the 19th edition of Small Firms, Great Projects. This platform offers a chance to showcase their exceptional work via print, online, and AIASF programming, among other forms.

Projects from any client sector or built project type that was finished within the last five years are eligible for submission. Submissions for a profile that can be displayed as a two-page spread or a one-page layout are welcomed from firms. Submissions of already published work in Small Firms, Great Projects, or other venues are also encouraged. The goal of this project is to recognize and honor the noteworthy contributions made by small businesses to the physical environment of the Bay Area.
