Sony World Photography Awards 2023: The Sony World Photography Awards 2023, one of the most celebrated and diverse photography competitions in the world, now is open for entries inviting all professional, amateur, youth and student photographers to participate.
About Competition
The Sony World Photography Awards, one of the most celebrated and diverse photography competitions in the world now is in its 16th year and like every year has aim to showcase the best contemporary photography worldwide.
The awards offer an unparalleled opportunity for exposure for photographers at all stages of their career and are known worldwide by industry leaders.
There are four main competitions and (Note!) each of them has a different deadline:
- Professional: 10 categories judged upon a body of work (5-10 images) (13 January 2023)
- Open: best single images across 10 categories (6 January 2023)
- Youth: young photographers aged under 19 year-olds (6 January 2023)
- Student: for anyone undertaking a full-time photography course (30 November 2022)
Moreover, the World Photography Organisation and a specially selected jury from the World Photographic Academy will judge the images.
No Entry Fee!
There is no entry fee to participate!
Eligibility
This competition is open to all levels of photographer, from emerging 12-19-year-olds, enthusiastic hobbyists, and students, to established professionals from across the world.
Prize
As well as offering an unparalleled opportunity for exposure for photographers at all stages of their career, the Awards offers $30,000 in cash prizes plus the latest Sony digital imaging equipment. The top prize is $25,000.
