Spin around in Division Twelve’s innovative bent-metal swivel chair, Spinni. Thought up by Thom Fougere, this new version of the classic drafting stool is, with an added spin, the company’s first product to rotate completely at 360 degrees. As an example of the parent company Keilhauer’s dedication to environmental causes, Spinni is carbon neutral, certified BIFMA LEVEL® 2, and at the Indoor Advantage Gold level for it’s Indoor Air Quality.
When designing the chair, Fougere drew inspiration from the art of American artist Ellsworth Kelly, incorporating geometric shapes such as a rectangular backrest, circular seat and footrest, and T-back into the chair. From the soft geometrics in Kelly’s work and how they related to each other, Fougere crafted Spinni’s seat and backrest to express both comfort and elegance with a new and unique look.
Perfect for a variety of settings, Spinni has options in two standard sizes – barstool and counter. Each upholstered seat and back is customizable with fabrics from Keilhauer, and the metal frame is available in division twelve’s impressive selection of more than 20 powder coats with minimal VOC emissions. The advantage of this chair is two-fold; Spinni offers an eco-friendly option with its recyclable steel and textiles, as well as biobased foam atop its sleek design that makes a real impact with a minimal footprint.
Mike Keilhauer, president of Division Twelve, states, “Our goal with creating Spinni was to build a distinct swivel barstool that could bring a cozy, domestic atmosphere to both commercial and hospitality sectors.” He continues, “Spinni contains attractive minimalistic traits but contains great comfort.
