The Magic Leap 2 augmented reality headset from Magic Leap allows users to interact directly with 3D digital content.

Magic Leap’s unique next-generation augmented reality headset, the “Magic Leap 2,” brilliantly fuses the technical requirements of AR into a distinctive piece of eyewear and enables direct interaction with 3D digital content completely merged into the real environment.

Magic Leap states that their goal is to “amplify human potential by creating the most immersive AR platform. So people can intuitively see, hear, and touch digital material in the actual world”. This is in line with its vision of a society in which the physical and the digital are one.

This cutting-edge, one-of-a-kind device transforms how people operate in a variety of professional contexts. Including healthcare, manufacturing, construction, defense, education, and training.

Moreover, one of the thinnest and lightest headsets on the market with industry-leading optics for top-flight visual quality, it is simple, adaptable, and comfortable to use.

In order to enable direct interaction between 3D digital information and the natural world, the platform consists of a headgear, compute pack, handheld controller, and a variety of integrated sensors and cameras.

Users can easily engage with virtual items using their eye contact, head movement, hand motions, and the controller.

With directional sound that locates the source in relation to a user’s physical location, spatial audio significantly enhances the experience.

Ergonomics and human-centered design were given top consideration when creating the hardware for Magic Leap 2. Magic Leap continues, “A connected design—compute pack and headset—reduces the weight on the spine.

Additionally, it places the lightweight optics and sensors on the helmet while the processor and batteries are located in the compute pack near the hip.
