TESTING-GROUND invites submissions for the third issue, Youthhood.

Young people are founding movements against injustices. Teenagers are lobbying their politicians to feature global climate change to the curriculum. Children are walking out on classes to participate in demonstrations and strikes. there’s increasing concern that global elders have did not address – and in many cases exacerbated – social, economic, and ecological inequities. Urgent, uninhibited, and technically proficient – you can’t fool the youngsters of the revolution. When it involves the creation of environmentally just and hopeful worlds, children are proving their worth and therefore the future is in their hands … or is it?

Issue 03: Youthhood will consider the planet through youthful eyes, make evident young ambitions, and aim to empower children to require on the planning of their own cities and landscapes.

To contribute a piece of writing , project, or design, please submit an abstract or 200 word description by Tuesday 4 May 2021, to testinggroundjournal@gmail.com. See full details here.

TESTING-GROUND is concentrated on research, experimentation and style of landscapes, cities and territories. It provides a platform for critiquing established theories and exploring emerging ideas across politics, ecologies and style . Each issue addresses challenges faced by our inhabited landscapes, calling on all who interact with our shared spaces to look at how theories and practices could also be realised through new approaches and methods. TESTING-GROUND aims to interact with questions of landscape with the target of widening critical discourse.
