The 2A Continental Architectural Awards (2ACAA), organized by 2A Magazine under the leadership of Ahmad Zohadi, celebrate exceptional architectural projects that spark significant discussions in contemporary design. With a broad readership and a global community, these awards offer a unique platform for architects worldwide to showcase their work and gain recognition.

Theme: “Innovative Contextual Architecture in the Continents”

The theme for this year’s awards is “Innovative Contextual Architecture in the Continents.” The 2ACAA remains a prominent stage for highlighting groundbreaking design ventures by inventive architects. By focusing on innovation, sustainability, and digitalization, the awards honor those pushing the boundaries of architecture, recognizing enhanced efficiency and leading the way in shaping the future of the industry.

Registration Period

The registration period for the 10th edition of the 2A Continental Architectural Awards is from July 1st to August 15th, 2024. This global competition invites architects to present their projects, offering a chance to gain significant recognition.

Categories and Submission Process

This year introduces a new category, ‘Visionary Architects and Studios,’ where both studios and individual architects can showcase their work. The competition employs a two-stage process to ensure fairness. In the initial phase, participants submit their projects at no cost, which are then evaluated by a jury to select the ‘Candidate’s Projects.’ In the second phase, participants pay a submission fee for their projects to be considered for final recognition.

Fees for Project Submissions

For the second phase, the fees for submitting projects are: 1 Project: €249 2 Projects: €449 3 Projects: €600

Jury and Selection Process

The jury panel, composed of esteemed women professionals and recognized architects, will meticulously assess all entries. The panel includes Sandra Woodall, Gisela Lohlein, Farah Naz, Bhakti More, Courtenay Bauer, Shirin Samadian, and Anna Nervegna. They will evaluate design intricacies and innovation, casting votes for each entry.

Important Event Details

The awards ceremony will take place on November 26th, 2024, at the Manipal Academy of Higher Education – Dubai Campus. This event welcomes trendsetters, innovators, and leaders in architecture, aiming to illuminate outstanding projects and inspire future generations.
