Designed by the Spacemen architecture team, a giant sienna-colored meteor rock hangs from the ceiling of a flagship store.
The 128 sq. store, dubbed Between Two Worlds, was designed specifically for Braun Buffel,
a brand of luxury leather bags and accessories.
Design features
The interior space is wrapped in mirrored surfaces and display shelves,
with a sienna-colored installation evoking a meteor rock at the heart of the store to create a fantasy experience.
The store is located on the first floor of Gardens Mall, Lenkaran Syed Putra in Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia, and combines a minimalist and maximalist approach,
This transcends the boundaries between two very different worlds: luxury retail and experimental art.
Similar to Urban Bloom’s previous office project in Putrajaya, Malaysia, the studio creates an eye-catching balance of color,
combining reflections with bold colors.
The jagged edges and angular grain of the sienna-colored installation add a stark contrast to the store’s elegant aesthetic,
which aims to fuse architecture and sculpture.”
The sense of intrigue behind the intent of this floating rock also instinctively draws passers-by into the space.

The studio has used a cohesive material palette, including stainless steel; white tiles, mirrors,
and glass with a base of metal plaster walls together to create a simple and futuristic composition for the store.
The studio has added a pair of red marble display counters, which flank the floating rock at the front of the store.
As customers make their way to the second half of the store,
the floor transitions to a deep burgundy carpeted area accented by a gorgeous pink onyx display wall.
Where they can customize their items in the personalization station.
Inside, there are other interesting design components: multi-level counters made entirely of clear glass.
This allows the products on offer to take center stage for shoppers.
The concept store blurs boundaries, allowing two very different worlds to converge,
that of experimental art and luxury retail, thus redefining the in-store brand experience into an immersive and unforgettable journey.
