Salary: £9,527.00 -£9,677.00 (pro rata p/a) (FTE £19,054.00 – £19,354.00) based on qualifications and experience

Hours: 18.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

The purpose of this rewarding role is to make a significant contribution to the effective delivery of the curriculum, in line with the College’s Quality Improvement Strategy and to ensure a high quality and relevant learning experience for all students on the courses.

The main responsibilities of the role will be to provide technical support for the Plastering Department, though work within others sections of the construction department may be required.

To ensure the smooth running of the Wet Trades Department, through carrying out tasks associated with maintaining a safe environment, the taking down of student work and preparing materials for lesson delivery. You will also be required to monitor stock levels and order materials and equipment when necessary.

The qualifications deemed essential for the post are:

Minimum of Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C or 4-9) or a willingness to work towards within an agreed timescale.

A relevant up to date qualification in subject area (bricklaying or plastering) at Level 2 or above or a willingness to work towards within an agreed timescale.

A fork lift truck licence or a willingness to work towards within an agreed timescale

As a learning organisation and as part of our commitment to your continued professional development we may require you to complete an apprenticeship standard or framework that relates to this opportunity. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is also essential for the post.
