Competition Brief

The ASLA 2026 Professional Awards is an event for the recognition of the topmost artistic works in landscape architecture globally. The awards celebrate the projects that are the best by every standard: they are the most beautiful, the most innovative, and their impact on community and the public realm is also the greatest. Besides, the programme includes the Landmark Award for historic preservation and impact.

Intent

The competition vogues to the superior professional in the field of landscape architecture. It presents in the limelight design quality, the surrounding area’s suitability, environmental friendliness, and inventiveness.

Purpose

The aim is to give an international-level accreditation to landscape architects and their teams. The winners’ works will be presented through ASLA media and at the ASLA 2026 Conference on Landscape Architecture.

Requirements

The contesters should make the necessary payment of entry fee before final submission of their project. All projects should fit the category’s criteria and must adhere to submission guidelines. ✦ ArchUp Competition Review

The American Society of Landscape Architects initiated the ASLA 2026 Professional Awards, which give credit to topnotch landscapes that once again give special attention to design excellence, innovation, and social impact. The jury’s particulars are exhaustive, comprising skilled professionals from various domains which add to credibility. Competition is professional and scholarly, not promotional. The cost to submit your work is between 400 to 560 US dollars per entry, which is quite justified given the quality and visibility for the artist the fee brings. The awards are media coverage and conference presentation opportunities, mainly serving as portfolio and professional visibility benefits, not direct project implementation possibilities.

Conclusion and Final Thoughts

The ASLA 2026 Professional Awards recognize a vast spectrum of landscape architecture creations, encompassing not only constructed projects but also through research and communication channels. The entry fees rise progressively with the stages of submission and a separate payment is required for each entry. The contest underscores both innovation and quantifiable impact, and the winners are prominently displayed in professional magazines and at the ASLA meeting. Designers who are pondering over global design platforms can evaluate this against other international competitions such as Architecture at Zero, Urban & Architecture Design Awards 2026, and International Excellence Awards 2026.
