Construction work on the Qiddiya Speedway Project has witnessed clear progress in recent days.

The latest images show the project’s features appearing on the ground, in a clear progress of the implementation plan.

The Qiddiya Formula 1 Circuit is one of the most prominent sports projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and aims to enhance the Kingdom’s position as a global sports center.

The circuit is located in the city of Qiddiya, 40 kilometers from the capital, Riyadh, and is part of the Qiddiya mega entertainment project.

The circuit was designed in collaboration with former Austrian driver Alexander Wurtz and German engineer Hermann Tilke, to comply with the first-class standards of the International Automobile Federation (FIA).

The circuit includes 21 turns, including the “Blade” turn, which rises 108 meters, equivalent to the height of 20 floors.

In addition to hosting Formula 1 races, the circuit will include multiple facilities for motorsports, such as motorcycle racing and karting races.

It will also provide elevated viewing platforms for fans, instead of traditional stands, to ensure a better view of the track.
