إستكمال المشروع الأمريكي الأول لـ MVRDV في مانهاتن العليا

The Dutch architecture company MVRDV has completed its first project in the United States, in the Upper Manhattan.

The project consists of a pile of colored sizes on top of each other.

Design features

The project is a multi -use tower, with an area of 27,200 square meters, and it was called the Radio Hotel and Tower Hotel.

The project consists of a hotel, offices, hospitality facilities and space spaces,

to become a new landmark in the Washington Heights neighborhood in New York in the United States.

The project is designed for the developer Youngwoo & Associas,

the first complete building by the Dutch company MVRDV in the United States.

Stonehill Taylor has worked in New York as a standard engineer in the project.

The MVRDV also created a building with a significant impact on the upper manpower.

Its design responds to sensitivity to the neighborhood and adds hotels, offices and hospitality that is intense and that were missing.

The studio is the pile of blocks in eight different colors of polished bricks to create a distinctive design that is suitable for the size of the buildings in the direct context.

While this design style creates a vertical village, so that the building does not overwhelm the surrounding areas,

as is often the case when individual buildings are larger than their neighbors.

Also, the stack shape has an additional benefit, which is to provide many external terraces,

with a special external space for each block on the surface of the mass below.

The building’s color palette refers to the facades of stores in the vibrant neighborhood to become part of the city.

While the upper blocks are designed in bright colors – such as bright green, yellow, blue, red and orange.

The lower blocks are covered with more silent colors such as plum, blue and gray brown – to greet visitors on the street level.

Washington Heights also has a unique and exciting personality,

completely different from other neighborhoods of Manhattan in the south.

The design of the Radio & Tower Hotel is inspired by that character –

we took the small blocs that characterized the surrounding area and we collected them in a vertical village.

Design

Inside, the Radio Hotel consisting of 221 rooms will be an important center for travelers to attend the conferences hosted by the University of Yashiva.

And the New York Corner Hospital, both of which are located near.

The hotel’s interior design, which was completed by Workshop APD in New York,

complements the exterior design, as it matches bright colors with the colors of the blocks.

Or on the ground floor, there are retail units and more than 16,000 square meters of office space.

On the twelfth floor, in the blue building, Above the Heights is located, a place designated for occasions.

It is suitable for everything starting from weddings, meetings to the Mettziva bar and Qinsinaras,

with the adjacent terrace on the surface that overlooks the scenic views of Manhattan.

The building also hosts a group of food and entertainment facilities, including Jalao NYC, which celebrates the local Dominican culture in the neighborhood.

Jalao NYC was also created as the first American website of the famous Santo Domingo Restaurant.

This is through cooperation between Richard Sandoval Hospitality and the founder of Jalao Antonio Espilla.

Beyond the restaurant on the ground floor directly, the hotel also includes a 750 square meter yard with a garden and wide outdoors.

It is a live music center and hotel activities.

The Hotel & Tower radio also brings a tremor of electrical energy to a part often ignored in Manhattan,

and the salt deficiency in Washington Heights is treated for hotel rooms.

It also celebrates the region’s community, and enhances the urban qualities of the ocean

without deviating from the urban nature already.
