Work has been completed on the visitor center inside King Salman Park, one of the four major Riyadh projects launched by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, on Tuesday, Rajab 12, 1440 AH, corresponding to March 19, 2019 AD, at the initiative of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The park visitor center includes a plant nursery, a multi-purpose hall, meeting rooms, exhibition halls, in addition to a number of restaurants and cafes. The main hall can accommodate 230 guests on multiple platforms equipped for events, activities and entertainment shows.
The center is also equipped to hold interactive shows and display information about the park, focusing on its natural, cultural and entertainment elements; The center overlooks extended green spaces, in addition to containing a large balcony with a distinctive view of the garden.
Widespread criticism of the design
With the emergence of the center’s photos, wide criticism of the design appeared on social media.
Najdin Memoris says, “The design is unfortunately bad, with all due respect, and does not reflect the aesthetics of traditional architecture in Riyadh. Instead of progress, it seems that we are going backwards.”
Yasser commented, “I will only know where they do their designs!” Omar said, “I hope there is diversity in materials and colors. Beige is a very used color here.”
An account named Dragon added, “What is this? No design or landscaping!! Our house’s courtyard is more beautiful.”
Muhannad added, “Visitors to the garden and its paths are not planted!? What!?”
Asma said, “The designer did it while he was sleeping.”
