Poland Seeks Delivery Partner for New International Airport under National CPK Project

Home » News » Poland Seeks Delivery Partner for New International Airport under National CPK Project

Poland has officially launched the search for a delivery partner to oversee the construction of a new international airport. This airport is set to become one of the largest infrastructure developments in Europe. It will be located approximately 50km west of Warsaw and is scheduled to open in 2032.

The project is part of the broader Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) initiative. This is a nationwide transport program. It includes high-speed rail expansion and expressway upgrades, aimed at reshaping mobility across the country.

Who is Poland looking for?

The selected delivery partner won’t just be a contractor. They will play a dual role as both project manager and construction lead. They are responsible for coordinating teams, maintaining timelines, and ensuring that the airport is delivered on budget and to specification.

Key requirements for applicants include:

Aerial view of Poland’s new international airport design, showing terminal arms and aircraft positioned across expansive runways
Conceptual rendering of Poland’s upcoming international airport, highlighting the star-shaped terminal layout and efficient gate distribution
  • Proven experience with greenfield airport construction
  • A strong track record on major infrastructure projects within Poland
  • A minimum annual revenue of PLN 500 million (~$137.8 million) over the past five years

The deadline for submissions is 20 October 2025. The contract is expected to be awarded in the first quarter of 2026. The procurement process is being conducted via the official Smart PZP platform.

A globally designed airport with national significance

The airport has been designed by internationally renowned firms Foster + Partners and Buro Happold. These firms are known for their work on major transport and urban infrastructure projects around the world.

It will serve as the central hub of the CPK project. It acts as both a modern air gateway and a strategic link between Polish cities. One of the project’s main goals is to ensure that every major city in Poland is within 2.5 hours travel time of the new airport. This will be enabled by a planned 2,000km high-speed rail network.

Redrawing Poland’s infrastructure map

With CPK, Poland aims to redefine its national connectivity through a combination of innovative design and advanced transport planning. The airport is a core component of this vision. It is not just a construction project, but a symbol of long-term strategic growth.
