1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair London 2026 returns to Somerset House in London from October 15–18, 2026, marking its 14th consecutive London edition. The internationally acclaimed art fair celebrates contemporary art from Africa and its global diaspora, bringing together leading galleries, established artists, emerging talents, collectors, curators, and art enthusiasts from around the world.
The 2026 edition introduces a new Modernist Spotlight, dedicated to Modernist artists from Africa and the diaspora through a selection of specially curated gallery presentations. The fair will also feature West Wind, a special 1-54 Presents exhibition curated by art historian Dr. Nancy Dantas, offering a focused exploration of artistic practices and perspectives.
A major highlight of the fair will be a monumental public installation presented in Somerset House’s iconic Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court, adding a striking artistic dimension to the historic venue.
