FABRICATE 2027 is an international conference exploring the future of digital fabrication, architecture, design, materials, and sustainable construction. The event brings together architects, designers, researchers, makers, engineers, and academic institutions to examine how emerging technologies and innovative production methods are transforming the built environment.
The sixth edition of FABRICATE will take place from May 14 to May 15, 2027, at the Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya (COAC) in Barcelona, Spain. Hosted by the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) and COAC, the conference will showcase more than 160 projects from leading international practices, organizations, and academic institutions.
The program will explore key themes including digital fabrication, material intelligence, circularity, craft, reuse, and sustainable construction, while encouraging new approaches to local production, responsible resource use, and collaboration within global maker communities.
