Oman Design and Build Week 2026
May 11 @ 8:00 am - May 13 @ 5:00 pm
Free
Overview
Oman Design and Build Week (ODBW) returns for its 21st edition at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre in Muscat, May 10 to 13, 2026. The Sultanate’s largest gathering for the building, construction, design, and real estate sectors, ODBW brings together industry professionals and consumers, connecting contractors, architects, engineers, interior designers, property developers, investors, homeowners, and the general public with products, solutions, and innovations shaping Oman’s built environment.
The 2026 edition is expected to draw over 34,000 attendees, with 160 exhibitors from 8 countries and 60 thought leadership sessions. The event runs over four days and hosts three co-located events, making it the most comprehensive built environment platform in the Sultanate. Its alignment with Oman Vision 2040 gives it institutional backing and positions it as a policy-linked industry platform rather than a purely commercial trade show.
Co-located Events
May 11–13, 2026. Dedicated to the latest technologies, materials, and solutions in design and construction in Oman. Organized with the support of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning as organizing partner.
May 10–13, 2026. Brings together key players in the real estate market to showcase investment opportunities and projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
May 10–13, 2026. Expert discussions on trends, challenges, and future prospects of the real estate market in Oman.
May 11–13, 2026. Brought to you by PMI (Project Management Institute). Focused on construction project management, infrastructure delivery, and built environment innovation.
Focus
ODBW covers the full spectrum of Oman’s built environment sectors: sustainable building materials, smart building technologies, real estate investment, interior design, construction systems, and infrastructure delivery. The four-day format is structured to serve both trade and consumer audiences simultaneously, which gives the event a scale and reach that specialist trade shows do not achieve alone.
The Real Estate component is significant in the current Omani context. Real estate transactions in Oman rose 27.1% year-on-year to RO 235.8 million by January 2026, and the first phase of Sultan Haitham City is launching this year. OREX functions as the primary public platform where these developments are presented to investors, buyers, and the general market.
ODBW facilitates partnerships between various stakeholders in the sector, establishes strategic links and alliances, and offers a platform for companies to showcase their innovative projects.
H.E. Dr Khalfan Bin Said Al-Shueili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Oman
ODBW Symposium — Key Topics
The Symposium, brought to you by PMI, addresses construction project management and infrastructure delivery as its primary focus. The 2026 programme covers:
Infrastructure Delivery in the Energy Sector (PDO Focus)
AI in Infrastructure Projects: From Innovation to Execution
Embedding Sustainability into Infrastructure Delivery
Addressing the Talent Gap in Infrastructure Delivery
Human Capability as a Critical Enabler of Infrastructure Success
AI and the Future of Infrastructure Projects
Delivering Complex Infrastructure Programs: Challenges, Risks, and Lessons Learned

Featured Real Estate Projects at OREX
Investment and development projects showcased at OREX 2026 span Oman’s major urban and regional growth axes. Among the developments on display are a Muscat masterplan community positioned as a sought-after residential destination, a mountain destination celebrating Oman’s highlands with luxury resorts and cultural attractions, a coastal development in Salalah leveraging the city’s unique climate, a new mixed-use city in Sohar planned as a hub for commerce and economic activity, and Sultan Haitham City, whose first phase is launching in 2026 as Oman’s flagship smart city project. These projects reflect the breadth of urban development currently active across the Sultanate under Vision 2040.
Sponsors and Partners
The 2026 edition is supported by OMRAN as main sponsor; Al Ahly Sabbour and Talaat Moustafa Group as strategic partners; Wujha Development as lead sponsor. Audience

✦ ArchUp Editorial Insight
ODBW’s 21st edition arrives in a moment of measurable market momentum: a 27% year-on-year rise in real estate transactions and the imminent launch of Sultan Haitham City’s first phase give the event’s real estate component genuine commercial weight rather than speculative positioning. The event’s structural strength is its breadth: by combining a construction and design expo, a real estate expo, a professional conference, and a PMI-anchored symposium under one roof and one free-entry ticket, it simultaneously addresses procurement, investment, professional development, and consumer engagement. The PMI Symposium’s focus on AI in infrastructure and talent gaps reflects real pressure points in Oman’s construction sector, which is scaling up under Vision 2040 faster than its professional workforce can be trained. Whether the Symposium moves from problem-statement to actionable knowledge transfer is the question that determines its value beyond the conference format itself.
Closing Note
For those tracking Oman’s built environment, ODBW 2026 is the most concentrated single platform for the sector’s current state: its exhibitor mix, investment projects on show at OREX, and Symposium agenda collectively map where the Sultanate’s construction, real estate, and infrastructure sectors are investing and where their professional and technical gaps lie. The free-entry format and four-day run make it accessible well beyond the trade professional audience it primarily targets.
