Overview

The 16th China Prefab House, Modular Building, Mobile House and Space Fair (PMMHF) takes place at Poly World Trade Center Expo in Guangzhou, China, May 8 to 10, 2026. Organized by Guangdong Grandeur International Exhibition Group, PMMHF is one of China’s leading trade expos for the housing and building industry, with a particular focus on prefabricated, modular, and lightweight construction systems.

The 2026 edition is expected to cover more than 50,000 square metres of exhibition space, hosting over 800 exhibitors and drawing upwards of 100,000 visitors from more than 100 countries and regions. It is hosted by the Cooperation and Integrated Building Committee of the Construction Industry Sub-Council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and by the Guangdong Provincial Construction Sustainable and Prefabricated Industry Association (GDCSDA), which counts over 1,000 leading member enterprises and a think tank of 400-plus experts.

Focus

PMMHF covers the full production and technology spectrum of prefabricated and modular construction. Its exhibit scope encompasses prefab houses and integrated housing systems, container homes and conversions, steel structure and light steel villa construction, wooden structure and log house systems, passive houses, mobile houses and space units, and the full supply chain of components including waterproofing, roofing, insulation, cladding, doors and windows, and building materials machinery.

The fair functions primarily as a procurement and sourcing platform for international and domestic buyers seeking to enter or expand within China’s prefabricated construction market, one of the most active globally. It is also a significant channel for Chinese manufacturers to access export markets across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the Americas, reflecting the Belt and Road-era expansion of Chinese prefab construction capacity internationally.

Concurrent Events

PMMHF 2026 runs alongside four co-located events forming a comprehensive construction industry cluster at Poly World Trade Center Expo:

The 18th China International Integrated Housing Industry and Building Industrialization Expo (CIHIE)
The 15th China (Guangzhou) International Exhibition for Steel Construction and Metal Building Materials
The 16th China Rooftile and Technology Exhibition
2026 Global Summit on Modular Construction Development and Procurement Matching Conference for Overseas Prefabricated Housing Projects
Mainland and Hong Kong Smart Construction Development Forum
Guangdong “PV + Building” Rural House Design Competition Exchange Conference

Organizers and Governance

The fair is organized by Guangdong Grandeur International Exhibition Group, under the hosting of the Cooperation and Integrated Building Committee of the Construction Industry Sub-Council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Guangdong Provincial Construction Sustainable and Prefabricated Industry Association. The list of co-organizers includes China Construction Science and Technology Group, China National Building Materials Group (CNBM), major state construction enterprises, and entities including Huawei Device Co. The institutional depth behind the event reflects its position as an officially backed platform for the prefab construction industry’s international expansion rather than a purely commercial trade show.

Audience

PMMHF targets international buyers, architects, developers, contractors, engineers, and building technology professionals seeking to source from China’s prefabricated construction supply chain, as well as Chinese manufacturers seeking export market connections. For those tracking the global development of modular and prefabricated construction systems, the fair offers the most direct access to Chinese manufacturing capacity in this sector under one roof.

✦ ArchUp Editorial Insight

PMMHF’s scale (50,000 sqm, 800-plus exhibitors, 100,000 visitors) reflects a simple fact: China is the world’s largest producer and exporter of prefabricated building components and systems, and this fair is its primary international-facing market event. For architects and developers sourcing modular housing, container structures, light steel systems, or passive house components, the fair compresses an otherwise fragmented global supply chain into a navigable three-day floor. The Belt and Road context is not incidental: many exhibitors are explicitly positioned for export into Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia, markets where Chinese prefab construction is rapidly displacing locally produced systems. The concurrent Global Summit on Modular Construction and the Overseas Procurement Matching Conference are the event’s most strategically significant elements for international practitioners, as they connect architectural demand to procurement at a level that the exhibition floor alone cannot achieve.

Closing Note

For international practitioners and buyers engaged with prefabricated, modular, and lightweight construction, PMMHF 2026 in Guangzhou is the most comprehensive single-location access point to China’s building technology supply chain. Its co-location with CIHIE, the steel construction exhibition, and the rooftile fair makes the combined cluster one of the densest three-day construction procurement events in Asia.
