The inaugural Singapore Design Biennale (SDB) 2027 will take place from 14 May to 20 June 2027 across Singapore under the theme “1.35°N,” referencing Singapore’s geographic latitude north of the equator. Organized by the DesignSingapore Council, the biennale marks the transformation of the former Singapore Design Week into a larger, five-week international design platform.
The 2027 edition will explore design, architecture, innovation, and interdisciplinary creative practices, using Singapore as a site for experimentation, adaptation, and new ideas. It will bring together designers, architects, artists, creative practitioners, industry professionals, and audiences from Singapore and around the world.
The biennale will also feature co-located industry and design events, including Future Living Asia by SingaPlural and the Singapore Archifest Expo, creating a broader platform for professional exchange, exhibitions, networking, and public engagement. Through its expanded format and international scope, Singapore Design Biennale aims to establish Singapore as a key hub for contemporary design and creative innovation in Asia.
