Overview

The FROMM.Lab Design Competition, titled Design for a Changing World: Bridging Cultures, is an international call for young designers to reinterpret Arab cultural heritage through a contemporary design lens. This competition invites creatives from across the globe to design functional, innovative, and production-ready pieces that embody cultural narratives while addressing modern-day needs. Winning designs will be produced by FROMM., exhibited at the Doha Design Biennale 2026, and receive global exposure.

How to Join

  1. Design a culturally relevant, sustainable furniture or lighting piece.
  2. Prepare the PDF (max 20MB) with technical drawings, 3D renderings, and concept statement.
  3. Email your submission to info@from-m.com with the correct file name format.
  4. Ensure registration is completed by May 30, 2025.
  5. Submit your final entry by September 1, 2025.
