On March 6, 2024, NEOM’s Board of Directors announced the launch of “Gidori”, a private and exclusive golf community nestled among the picturesque coastal hills of the Gulf of Aqaba, adding a new dimension to the concept of regional development in northwestern Saudi Arabia.
Jidori features ambitious architecture that blends seamlessly into the dramatic landscape, hosting luxury hospitality, upscale residences, and a wide range of sports and leisure facilities that offer an unparalleled living experience.
Location and design
Jidori’s location on the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba embodies the harmony of world-class golf and an active lifestyle, surrounded by an ultra-modern community that welcomes guests and residents alike. At the heart of this project shines a beach complex with an advanced architectural design featuring a magnificent suspended structure. This complex, rising from the coastal landscape, will feature 190 luxury apartments with direct sea views, in addition to exceptional dining experiences, signature shops, and green spaces.
Golf course and architectural elegance
The 18-hole golf course winds through low-lying areas and scattered rocks, providing a challenge for players of all levels with its innovative layout and stunning coastal views. The elegant golf club will provide upscale hospitality to players, while the golf academy will provide expert advice and coaching, serving the traditional game as well as a new generation of e-sports.
Private villas and luxury hospitality
Scattered along the golf course is a limited series of 200 villas and private homes, each featuring a unique and highly desirable design. Visitors can also stay at the 80-room luxury boutique hotel, offering a variety of uniquely designed rooms and signature contemporary suites. The hotel includes restaurants and lounges, a wellness spa, a gym, several swimming pools, and an exclusive theater for selected entertainment.
Outdoor activities and commitment to sustainability
Jidori’s surroundings provide ideal opportunities for outdoor activities such as mountain trekking, on- and off-road cycling, and walking on scenic trails. The Beach Club will offer relaxed hospitality and entertainment, with a wide range of water sports for all ages and experiences. By nightfall, observation decks will provide unparalleled opportunities to view the night sky.
True to NEOM’s commitment to conservation and innovation, Jidori will introduce new standards for environmentally responsible coastal development. This addition comes in the wake of NEOM’s announcement of its group of sustainable coastal tourism destinations, emphasizing its vision of a future that combines sustainability, innovation, and natural beauty.
Jidori is not just an expansion of NEOM’s infrastructure, but rather an invitation to explore a new lifestyle, where luxury meets nature, and heritage merges with modernity in a harmony that reflects the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
